We can't thank all of you enough for the warm welcome we have received in the community!
As you may know, we reopened our doors on September 18th and have seen so many familiar faces and met new ones too.
We have received wonderful feedback from everyone on our refined comfort food concept and are excited to continue to expand on that with some fun seasonal dishes as we come into the fall season.
Our wine production is schedule to begin again in November so look forward to updates on the new batches we'll be producing. Our brewery will also be starting up soon and we have a lot of fun planned for that as well :)
We can't wait to continue to roll out the changes we have in store for you!
These last few months have been quite a journey, but we have finally made it. We want to formally invite you to join us on Thursday September 18th for our first day back. We are opening the doors, not only to the familiar Abnormal Wine Company, but to the newest additions to our family: Abnormal Beer Company, and our restaurant, The Cork and Craft.
Our new facility is not only much larger than our previous operations, now 5,000 square feet from our original 1,500, but completely visible to our guests with open views to the back production facilities. We wanted to create a dynamic environment that encourages our guests to learn about what we do and how we do it.
We can't thank you enough for your patience and enthusiasm during the entire process and are looking forward to welcoming you to our new home!
Stay tuned for our new hours and more updates as we get closer!
Due to some unexpected plumbing issues, we have had to close down our tasting room sooner than expected in order to continue construction on our new restaurant and brewery. We apologize for the abrupt announcement, but the good news is that it will enable us to open the doors to our new restaurant, winery, and brewery much faster :)
We will be posting updates on our website as well as keeping everyone up to date on Facebook & twitter. We'll be putting out a lot of ideas and would love to get your feedback as we put the final touches on our new concept.
We are still open to ship bottles and will be available for appointments as well. If you have any questions please feel free to shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon!
Congratulations to Candice Poore, our Instagram Contest Winner!
We look forward to putting together our next contest for everyone to participate in :)

Show your abnormal side and get creative ☺
The winner will be selected based off his/her style and creativity, incorporation of Abnormal Wine, and photo clarity/quality. The winner’s name will also be engraved onto the wooden placard for the world to see!

We are moving along smoothly with construction into our new extended space. Our new larger AC units have been installed, all of the existing wood beams have been stained, and we're just waiting on a few more permits to begin installing all of our plumbing. We will be grinding all of the concrete floors this weekend Saturday March 14th and Sunday March 15th, so we regret that we have to close down, but we don't want to sacrifice the quality of our wine experience by loud machinery and a dusty environment. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we promise it's worth it!
We expect most of the permits to come through by the end of the month, so April will be an exciting month with lots of updates as our space really starts coming together :)
We'll keep you all in the loop on the progress and will posting here frequently. Let us know if you have any questions or any suggestions you'd like to send our way. Thanks for reading!
It has taken us quite some time, but we have compiled a small start to our wine education section of our website that we would like to share with you! Check out the wine terms for some fun wine vocabulary or the winemaking process page to see how wine is made. We are currently working on adding a world appellation section as well so you can tour the top wine producing countries and their most popular varietals.
If you have any particular questions or would like to see something else added to our education section please feel free to shoot over to the contact page and send us an email. We'd love to hear from you!
We are excited to announce that Abnormal Wine Company has begun it's expansion from 1500 square feet to just over 5,000 square feet at it's current location. We will be adding a full kitchen and small brewery to our site to bring our guests a more complete dining experience. Our current location will remain operations as usual to minimize any impact on the winery. Stay tuned for updates on our construction progress :)
We love being involved in our local community and had the pleasure of hosting the fantastic crew from the 92127 magazine in our tasting room. For those of you who aren't familiar with their magazine, they feature fantastic articles about everything going on in the 4S area. They're an excellent source to keep up to date on community events and exciting new places to see. We can't wait to have you all back!
Check out what they had to say on their website: http://www.92127magazine.com/2013/06/abnormal-wine-company/
We had the pleasure of having a couple local journalists, Deanne Goodman and Melissa Phy, visit our shop and ask us a few questions about what we have going on. Check out what they had to say about us on the Poway Patch website:
